Happy Easter everybody! And what an Easter it is in the middle of a pandemic! Therefore: holed up at home. Our March meeting cancelled. The last time we saw our members was at the reception for the 27th Ebony & Ivory Show on March 6. Our images are still in the Casements’ Gallery because the building is (of course) closed at least till the end of April.
But the crew of the Casements has made a slideshow and put that on their Facebook page. This way more people can see the wonderful images of our members!
You can also see what our members did in March, while stuck at home: in the Challenge part of this web site is a “March – Stuck at Home” section. We also do this for April, so keep the images coming. In March I started sending out a free e-book, that one was on Candid Photography. The April free e-book is on Food Photography. All members are thinking with me and sending free information on how to improve your photography. There is time for that now!
Then there are the professional photographers who donate their time! So there are two free webinars: Matt Kloskowski (https://mattk.com) and Lisa Langell (www.langellphotography.com) who donated their time especially for camera clubs! Thank you so much, it is certainly appreciated!
I made sure I have a Zoom account and am working on a way to have a Casements Camera Club meeting, maybe on April 23!
We all have to keep our sanity; photography is one way of doing that. It has been proven to quiet anxiety. Thinking creatively and please send me your images!!
